Water toys

Select water toys for their stated environment: bath, water table or pool. Read the age and supervision instructions, then plan filling, draining, cleaning and storage before choosing the size of the set.

Check the intended depth and setting

A pool toy and a bath accessory are not interchangeable merely because they can get wet. Follow the maker's guidance and provide the required adult supervision. A play product should never be treated as a substitute for water-safety equipment or attentive supervision.

Allow room around large equipment

Water tables need space for children and an adult to move around them, plus access for filling and emptying. Check assembled dimensions and where water will go afterward. The storage problem remains even when the basin is dry.

Inspect the drying routine

Look for the maker's cleaning and drainage instructions, including any removable parts. Decide where wet pieces can dry before they are packed together. Fewer manageable components can make regular water play easier than a large assortment that is awkward to clean.
