A small Bluey outing with a complete serving routine
Bluey, Dad, a car, and the ice-cream stand supply the roles and destination for a short pretend trip. Scoops and cones give the characters something to do when they arrive. The compact scene is its advantage, but also means less loose building variety than a general-purpose DUPLO assortment.
- Best fit
- Familiar buying-and-serving stories, rather than as the most flexible first collection of bricks.
- Before buying
- It is a compact character set with fewer loose building possibilities than a general brick box. Keep the instructions and a container for spare pieces so future rebuilding remains possible.
Consider these alternatives
LEGO DUPLO Brick Box 10913 →
Flexibility matters more than reproducing the exact scene pictured on a themed package.
LEGO DUPLO Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 10465 →
Choose the clubhouse because these particular characters matter to the recipient.
A closer look at the trade-offs
The trade-off
The Brick Box favors inventing new structures. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse supplies a larger character setting. Choose the Bluey outing for familiar buying-and-serving stories, rather than as the most flexible first collection of bricks.
A suggested first play session
